David Keyes - Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center Founder
David was the founder of Valley Haven Camp and Retreat Center and was the Director for nearly 30 years. He continues to serve at Valley Haven through various roles in the maintenance and machinery departments, which enables the ministry to continue to serve others in the name of Jesus. In the late 1980s, David began construction on the current site, which was comprised of corn fields and trees at that time. His heart and passion were to provide a peaceful place for others to retreat and be renewed in Jesus. Utilizing his passion and gifting in building and construction, David shaped the camp and retreat center over the years, building a number of facilities for groups to rest and enjoy community as they retreat together. David has been married to Finley for 41 years. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, relaxing with friends and playing with his grandsons, Zachary and Jonathan.
