VALLEY HAVEN VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteers are so essential to the ministry of Valley Haven Camp and Retreat! Is the Lord leading you to volunteer some at Valley Haven? Here's a few GREAT reasons to be a part of this gospel ministry:

1. MAKE AN IMPACT: Our volunteers are directly impacting this community for Christ. Every flower planted, field mowed, bolt tightened... makes this a safe and beautiful place for campers and guests to come and be refreshed as they spend time with Jesus!
2. BE REFRESHED: Serving at Valley Haven allows our volunteers to get away from the demands of "every day life" as they serve Christ while surrounded by the beauty of nature - pastures, ponds, creeks, and open skies! 
3. GOSPEL INVESTMENT: Each year, by the Lord's grace, there are so many people that come to faith in Christ while at youth camps or on retreats out here. Marriages are restored at marriage retreats. People encounter the Lord and grow in significant and transforming ways. In short, lives are transformed by the power of the Gospel. As a volunteer - your efforts and time help make this possible! Our volunteers aren't just laborers... they're Gospel Partners!
4. FLEXIBILITY: Life is busy. Some of our volunteers come weekly. Some come monthly. Some come out to Serve Days once or twice a year. Every bit of help matters tremendously!

VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

• Maintenance:
  • Changing light bulbs, changing filters, power washing, painting, etc.
• Grounds:
  • Mowing, weed-eating, weeding garden area, planting flowers, trimming bushes, clearing brush
• Cleaning:
  • Cleaning, resetting cabins, laundry, sweeping, mopping, window washing, dusting, carpet shampooing, etc.
• Machinery:
  • Maintenance, fluid changes, repairs to farm equipment, mowers, and vehicles
• Trades:
  • Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, construction

Registering as a Volunteer is super EASY! Here's how to sign up:

1. Click the Sign Up link below and fill out the Online Form with your info and interests. 
2. We'll email you back with our Volunteer Release Form and the Valley Haven Statement of Faith for you to review and sign. 
3. Once you complete those online forms, we'll review your sign up information and then contact you about setting up a time to come out! 
4. When you get here for your volunteer time, we'll give you a walkie talkie, water, and help orient you.
5. Feel free to stay for a bit after you volunteer! It's the perfect place to bring your Bible, a journal, or a great book to relax and be refreshed! ​
